Export your first DXF package
Validate a model, preview the generated DXFs, and download a structured package.
The video below walks through a full first export from a Part Studio. The sections that follow break out each step — the same flow applies from an assembly tab. Start with a small, representative model if this is your first run. If you have not installed the app yet, see Install DXF Exporter.

Run validation
Open DXF Exporter and run validation. Validation checks the model state and reports anything that may affect export.
You do not need to prepare everything perfectly before the first validation. The validation step is there to show what needs attention.
Review any warnings
Review the statuses shown by DXF Exporter. Some warnings are reminders to check the model, while others may need a fix before generation or download.

Generate and preview DXFs
Once blocking warnings are addressed, generate the DXFs and use the preview to check the output before downloading. The preview helps you confirm that toolpath types are split as expected — each type is shown in a different colour — and that the geometry looks as expected.
Download the package
On your first download, you will need to accept the Terms and Privacy Policy. The export downloads as a zip file with DXF files organised in material folders.
